If you were a kid growing up in the 90’s, you probably remember rushing home to the most epic animated opening theme song playing on the Cartoon Network. Yes, I’m talking about Dragonball Z. For a show with dragon in its name, it didn’t have too many scenes with the eternal dragons–Shenron and Porunga. Of course, I’m not mad about that, maybe a little peeved at the100 episode arcs of Goku charging up a spirit bomb. Dragons remain a cultural icon (just look at Game of Thrones) because of how they suggest an ancient, primal power that piques our thirst for danger. This piece features a fun cartoonish style drawn with distinct outlines, bright colors, and fanciful creatures with exaggerated features. The central theme seems to be a sort of controlled chaos. Notice how there’s no single “correct” orientation for the artwork; you can rotate the canvas 90, 180, or 270 degrees and some of the dragons will still be aligned with your gaze. Each dragon is intertwined with every other dragon and seems to sprout from every side of the frame. This scene might be at home in a mad LSD induced dream state, with strangely familiar faces surrounding you in a psychedelic world of nonsense. Notice that each dragon has a long, snake-like body, evoking the eastern depiction of dragons, of benevolent gods of good fortune. Overall, it’s a wildly colorful piece with a bright palette and well used shading to enhance the multichromatic energy in the art.

Our shirts have a slimmish, tapered fit that isn't too tight or too loose. Slim fit varies a lot between brands, but we'd consider this in the slim family, with enough roominess to be comfortable. Some call this fashion slim fit or semi-fitted.

How to Care for Your Sweet Shirt

Machine wash cold inside out to protect the print, no bleach. Pretreatment may remain on your made-to-order shirt which will add a harder, rougher texture (it's to help the print look good), the first wash will remove it and make everything nice and soft. Tumble dry low. Iron low, but avoid print.
